Travel Agent tips
Los Angeles Airport or LAX is surely the worst airport in the world. Join the Priority Pass club to get access to Airport Lounges throughout the world and avoid the chaos.
The London West Hollywood is a fantastic pick. Located just off the Sunset Strip it is walking distance to some great bars, clubs and restaurants. (Although no one really walks in LA). The rooms are sophisticated and spacious and the rooftop pool area has just been renovated and is looking fantastic.
Cassia-this is a fantastic South East Asian restaurant in Santa Monica. Playing on the Vietnamese heritage of 2 of the owners the menu has a great balance of Californian produce and exciting spicy flavours.
I love Moonshadows in Malibu. This is where my LA living best friend took me as soon as I stepped off the plane from Australia. The view over the ocean is breathtaking and the friendly beachy vibe made me feel right at home.
Kitson is a one stop shop for everything desirable. This is my favourite shop in LA-great fashion for women, men and kids as well as funky gifts & accessories.
Olga Lorencin Skin Care has a thriving celebrity clientele so sign up for their red carpet facial and feel like a star too.
Private tour is the best way to see LA if you don’t have long, as things are spread out and traffic is bad. There are some must sees: Hollywood sign and Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive & Beverly Hills. It’s worthwhile going into the Hollywood Hills to see houses of the rick and famous and see the views down over LA. The beaches are a big part of LA so make sure you take a drive out to Venice and Santa Monica and if you have time to the celebrity haunt of Malibu.
