This hotel is all about location. It is a short under cover walk from the domestic terminal and a short drive to the International terminal.
They do offer a shuttle ($5 per person) to the International Terminal.
The rooms are modern, clean and perfect for a night stopover before a flight. They’re not the most exciting rooms in the world but have everything you could wish for with Nespresso machine and Bigelow bathroom products. My one gripe is that I’m not a fan of the bathroom opening into the bedroom but it can be closed and the toilet is in a separate frosted glass cubicle.
I decided to go for the Executive room as it includes lounge access and thought this was worthwhile. Happy Hour was from 5 to 7pm downstairs in the hotel bar next to the reception. It is not a huge space so it did get busy but that gave it some atmosphere. You could order complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks and received a food platter per room. It was more of a snack rather than being substantial enough for a light dinner.
Many of the Executive Lounge guests then had dinner in their excellent restaurant. It is modern Australian and a bit pricey for an Airport hotel but good quality food.
Breakfast is served in this downstairs restaurant from 5.30am so this meant we could have a very quick breakfast (included in Executive Lounge) before leaving for our flight.
The hotel has a gym and a decent roof top pool.
